Zachary Carrettin - Violinist, Violist, Conductor

Linea Perfekta chamber orchestra consists of virtuoso string instrument players who have collaborated with Zachary Carrettin internationally, in dynamic public and private events sponsored by IBM, Toyota, General Motors, The Venetian, Meyer Sound, and The Hilton. The ensemble performs music from seven centuries, in styles ranging from French renaissance and Italian baroque, to twenty-first century concert Tango repertoire and amplified world music presentations. Carrettin’s arrangements of the score interweave between the mystical ancient and the cutting edge, hard-rhythmic driving force, often accompanied by creative lighting techniques and integrated video. He employs the use of electric instruments in Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and features the dazzling aplomb of each member of this ensemble in a “classical” music journey showcasing a new diversity found in the next generation of musicians, equally at home with improvisation, pop, classical period styles, and crossover into the idioms of jazz, fado, salsa, rock, and electronic musics. Events feature 12 to 22 musicians, depending on the music being performed; Linea Perfekta performs standing and often explores stereophonic and antiphonal audio-visual presentations.
